Crikey, that’s unforgiveable! The reason is that yesterday I got a whole new tranche of things to do at work, and basically had to compress my previously full day into the time between starting and lunch. Then new stuff in the afternoon. I’ve even been coming in half an hour early to get everything done. And of course I won’t get paid for it, but that is the dedication I have. Can’t abide leaving things not finished.
Sports news now. Martin Jol collected his P45 this morning. Crazy. People tend to forget the previous seasons, and the fact that he was always brutally honest post-match went against him instead of in his favour. He was one of only a handfull of managers willing to say that his players weren’t up to scratch, rather than mollicoddling the overpaid, childish, petulant, arrogant millionaires, who couldn’t possiblyt be responsible for losing, no it must be someone else’s fault, they are better than that. Wrong. If you lose, it is your fault. The players on the pitch. Fact
Nice to see that you are so dedicated to your work. Obviously your northern upbringing has instilled the correct moral fibre.
As to the whys and wherefores of the Jol fiasco, I can only put forward the comment that it was his own selected players that let him down.
